This Cordoba’s monument is second in the European ranking and can be seen from some of the rooms and terraces of our hotel Las Casas de la Judería de Córdoba, as it is just two hundred meters away from it.
According to the website TripAdvisor, Cordoba’s Mosque-Cathedral is one of the world’s most beautiful places to visit and it is the most interesting place in Spain, being ahead of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain Square in Seville and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. It is also the second in the European ranking, just surpassed by the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, Italy. Finally, the world’s ranking says that it is among the top six most interesting places in the world, behind Machu Picchu, in Peru; Sheikh Zayed Mosque, in Abu Dhabi; Angkor Wat, in Siem Reap; the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, in Italy and the Taj Mahal, in Agra.
The travel planning and booking site announced yesterday the winners of its Travellers' Choice Awards for Interesting Places, taking into account the quality and quantity of comments related to these places during the last twelve months. In relation with last year’s ranking, the Mosque-Cathedral has advanced fifteen positions in Europe and three in Spain.
