Cathedrals, castles, museums or palaces, Spain is a country with great monuments loaded with history that attract thousands of tourists every year. Once again, the Travelers' Choice Awards for Places of Interest, awarded by TripAdvisor, places Spain in the top positions at European and international level. Spain has ten winning sites, three of them recognized with prizes in Europe and two among the top 10 worldwide.
The Mezquita-Cathedral of Cordoba has been awarded as the best site of interest in Europe and Spain and has the 3rd position in the world taking the first place last year to the Basilica of St. Peter's Vatican, Italy.
The Plaza de España, in Seville, also stands out with the 2nd national position, 4th of Europe and 9th in the world.
The Alhambra, in Granada, has been recognized as the 3rd best in Spain and 12th in Europe. The national ranking is completed by the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló, and Magic Fountain (Font Màgica), in Barcelona, Real Alcázar and the Cathedral, in Seville, the Royal Palace of Madrid, and Le Seu Cathedral in Palma Of Mallorca.
